Teeth Whitening Aftercare
AVOID CERTAIN FOODS
Especially the first 48 hours after treatment. Whitening treatments weaken the tooth enamel in order to penetrate within the tooth to dissolve the stains. During the window of time after the treatment, your teeth are most susceptible to acquiring stains.
AVOID COLORED FOODS
EXAMPLE: Wine, tea, coffee, chocolate, beets, berries, red or dark sauces. If you do consume drinks, like tea, try using a straw to avoid contact with your teeth. This also includes colored mouthwashes, especially BLUE or RED.
AVOID ACIDIC FOODS
EXAMPLE: Lemons, limes, Soda, Pickles, fruit, juices or beer.
AVOID HOT & COLD FOODS
A Whitening procedure can generally make your teeth more sensitive. Only consume, hot and cold foods as tolerated.
AVOID TOBACCO USE
